

Myrna Joan Sprowl, 66,was born December 17, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas. Myrna went home to Jesus on November 12, 2013 after a graceful and courageous fight with cancer. Myrna was employed at the VA Hospital and transferred to the IRS where she retired after 35 years of total service; at the time of her death she was employed by Infused Solutions contractor for the FAA. She was dedicated and faithful member of Classen Boulevard Baptist Church from 1976 until the time of her death where she was actively involved in the Praise Team, Vacation Bible School, serviced as a Sunday School Teacher and mentored other members. Myrna loved participating in activities such as Lyric Theater Presentations, Jewel Box, Theater and Bunco Thursdays with her long term friends. Myrna was preceded in death by her father, Albert Van Meter and her mother, Stella Mills. She is survived by a loving family which includes her husband Thomas Sprowl; brother, Michael Van Meter Sr.; son, James D. Peck; daughters, Shelly Watson and Chrystal Sprowl; stepchildren, Pandora Loftis, Danny Sprowl, Rodney Sprowl and Timothy Sprowl; thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
