Nancy was born in Mt. Pleasant, MI. She earned her degree from Central Michigan University. She moved to Tulsa, OK in 1968 with her husband and later moved to Edmond, OK. She was an Avon Representative for over 40 years. Nancy was also on the Board of the Oak Cliff Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Her greatest passion was in Girl Scouting. She was a leader, Trainer, and mentor for over 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband E. Neil Benedict, her parents Marion and Renada Johnson, and a brother in law Ralph McCreight.
Survivors include her daughter Bobbie Ponder and husband David of Gladewater, TX, granddaughters Ashleigh Magliolo and husband Matt of Odessa, TX, Cristine Rauch and husband Patrick of Winona, TX, grandson David Neil Ponder and wife Kylie of Hobbs, New Mexico. She is also survived by her sister Janet McCreight of Mt. Pleasant, MI and Brother Lynn Johnson and wife Geralene of Mt. Pleasant, MI. Also 7 great-grandchildren, her nieces and nephews, and many cousins and lifelong friends.
