Nena Marie Tobin 73, of Guthrie, went to meet the Lord on November 14, 2020.

She was born in Hinton, Oklahoma on April 20, 1945 to Dan (DS) & Maxine (Gill) Fox. She soon moved to Oklahoma City where she graduated from Grant High School in 1965. Nena met the love of her life James (Eddie) Tobin, and they married on August 4, 1967. They had two wonderful children Kristi (Tobin) Hirzel & Brad Tobin.

Nena loved to travel with Eddie and the kids all over the United States with the Nomad Club. Nena enjoyed helping Eddie restore old cars and furniture, making stained glass, and gardening. She also had a passion for cooking and sewing, as well as traveling and attending music concerts. Nena lost Eddie in 1992 to cancer. Nena received her cosmetology license from Paul Beauty College of Oklahoma City. She went on to work at Mercy Home Health as an office manager for many years. Later, she retired and enjoyed going to the lake and spending time with her grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents, DS and Maxine; stepmom, Katherine; and husband, Eddie.

She is survived by her sister, Arniren; daughter, Kristi Hirzel and husband Scott; son, Brad Tobin and wife Holly; five grandchildren: Maci, Garrett and Maggie Hirzel, and Blake and Rylee Tobin; as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Kristi and Brad,
I'm so sorry you all are going through this, but I know a Moms hug lasts long after she lets go.

My Dad introduced me to your Dad, they worked together on the fire department. Way back in the 1970's your Mom and Dad helped me with my Nomads and a Harley Davidson Panhead motorcycle I had. We had some great times at those Nomad Conventions.

Every time I drive up Walker past the old house I think can see them.
She is such a sweet, precious lady and your Dad is a wonderful gentleman.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make his face to shine down upon you, and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.

Nena, we have some many wonderful memories of you! You and Eddie dropping in on the Boyett house to play Wahoo, you and mom cruising the town in your classic convertible to spy on us on prom night, and road trips all over Oklahoma. After mom's passing, you were such a good companion and travel partner for Charlie. You were already loved and part of our family and it felt natural for you to be involved in family trips and gatherings. Carrie's boys adoringly referred to you all as "Mena and Papa." We are tickled at the thought of you being with Eddie again. Tell Mom "hi" and enjoy catching up with her. We love you, Nena!

God has received a very special lady. Nena came into lives when she traveled to Colorado with our brother Charles. First time we all took a road trip in a motorhome to Yellowstone, South Dakota. Second trip was Las Vegas for a week. Oh what a blast we had. Our grandsons fell in love with their Aunt Nena. Nena you have got your Angel Wings. You are free of pain Fly. Love you.
