

Orley attended college at Panhandle A&M and retired from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
Orley enjoyed traveling in his RV, water skiing, gardening, woodworking, and gun collecting. He overcame his fear of flying by obtaining his pilot’s license. He was an active member of the Elks Lodge in Woodward for many years.
Orley was preceded in death by his parents, Orley O. Spake and Gertrude (White) Colby, and sister, Norma Davis. He is survived by his children: Dela Melynn Hight and husband Tom, Joan Lee Pfiffner and husband Roger, and Dana Frances Poulter and husband Ivan; grandchildren: Kristy Chronister, Misty Chronister, Mariam Ghassemi, Michaela Pfiffner, Christian Pfiffner, and Nathaniel Poulter; brother, Roger Spake and wife Marjorie; and many other family members and friends.
He will be greatly missed.
