With deep love and gratitude, the family announces the passing of a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother whose faith, gentleness, and steady spirit touched every person she met. Born and educated in Vietnam, where she earned her Tú tài High School Diploma, she later made Oklahoma her home, building a life marked by resilience, joy, and unwavering trust in God.
A woman of quiet strength, she endured life’s challenges with grace including the long and painful years of her husband’s captivity after the fall of Saigon in April, 1975, never losing hope and never wavering in her determination to give her daughters a better life. She worked tirelessly to support her family, always doing so with humility and without complaint.
Her days were simple and beautiful: a little tai chi, a little exercise, tending lovingly to her garden, cooking, reading, and above all, praying. Prayer was the center of her life, and faith was her constant compass. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help since 1995 and completely surrendered to God’s will in both hardships and blessings.
She laughed easily at any joke, even the bad ones and found joy in the smallest things. Her grandchildren were her heart, and her daughter teased her about loving them even more than her own children. She was known for her bright smile, warm greetings, and a gentleness that made everyone feel welcomed and cherished.
She will be remembered for her elegance, her patience, and the calm she carried so naturally. Her cooking nourished both body and soul, especially her beloved dishes like “blackened chicken,” yogurt, xôi vò, and her special scrambled eggs.
She loved the color yellow, flowers, especially yellow roses and being surrounded by family. Reunions with her siblings in Vietnam, Australia, and Japan brought her immense happiness. She had a deep love of travel and was blessed to see Rome, Vietnam, Australia, Europe, and the Holy Land. Some of her happiest memories were made while cruising with her children and grandchildren.
She leaves behind a legacy of faithfulness, love, humor, and quiet courage. Her life was a testament to patience, resilience, and the light that comes from trusting God fully. She will be forever loved and forever missed.
She was married to her beloved husband Tu D. Pham on February 27, 1965 until he departed this life on December 17, 2011. She is also preceded in death by her older brothers, Ninh, Vinh, and Chi, older sister, Minh.
They were blessing with four daughters, Ha, Tram and her husband David, Thao and her husband Apollo, and Anh-Thu and her husband Thong, grandchildren, Cici, Sarah, Austin, Zachary, Khoi and his fiancé Sally and Brandon, brother Nghiep and his family from Australia and baby sister, Tuyet and her family from Japan. She left behind so many relatives who loves her dearly including, sisters and brothers in law, nieces and nephews from Vietnam and the USA.
In her last several days, when she was able to interact with the family or friends visiting her, she was laughing, teasing others, kissing her kids and grandkids. She was able to share some laughter with her brother and her bossy spirit was still unfaded. She told her daughters to do this and that, told her brother to leave her alone so could rest and asked her brother to say the Rosary, Sorrowful Misery.
She was surrounded by her brother, daughters, and grandchildren and passed on peacefully when they were praying to commit her soul to the Lord. Rest in Peace, Má. No more pain, only happiness. Say hello to Dad, our grandparents, and other relatives.
A visitation will be held at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034, on November 25, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A rosary service will follow at the same location, beginning at 6:30 pm.
