February 9, 1935 – November 21, 2020
Obituary of Phyllis Addison
IN THE CARE OF

Baggerley Funeral Home

Phyllis was born in Brushton, New York, to Helen (Allen) Henry, Oklahoma City, and Lester Henry, Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

Phyllis graduated from Frankfort High School, Frankfort, New York. Met and married C.A. Addison in Wichita, Kansas, December 31, 1955. She passed away from complications due to COVID-19 at Deaconess Hospital under the compassionate care of our community's brave front-line hospital workers.

Phyllis retired after 25 years from Hertz Corporation in the Daily Reports and Billing Department. Her hobbies were reading, knitting and gardening. She loved music, enjoyed going to the theatre and concerts, and a favorite memory was her trip to Hawaii. She enthusiastically cheered for the New York Yankees and the Oklahoma City Thunder. She leaves a legacy of favorite family recipes and fond memories of family gatherings.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, C.A. Addison; son, Craig Allen Addison; mother; father; and brother, Phillip Henry of Rochester, New York. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Haikin of Crescent, OK and Kaye Candella of Houston, TX; sons, C.A. Addison II and Kevin Addison of Oklahoma City, OK; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; a niece; nephews; and many long-time friends.

The family will hold a private memorial service and suggests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Oklahoma City Food Bank or to a charity of your choice.
