

He leaves his wife of 52 years, Ann (Nimtz) Taupmann; his son, Jeff Taupmann and his daughter, Erika Taupmann; his sister, Heidi (Taupmann) Lounsbury.
Born in Riga Latvia, the son of Nikolai and Erika (Kroeger) Taupmann, he spent most of his life in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Ralf spent his early years in war torn Germany during World War II before immigrating to the United States in 1952. After settling and graduating high school 1955 in Nyack, New York, He joined the US Army Medical Corps in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He received a B.A. Biology (High Honors) in 1964 from St. Mary’s University, San Antonio, Texas. Married Ann C. Taupmann of Longview, Texas 1967 M.D. 1968 University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas. After Radiology Residency moved to Edmond, Oklahoma 1972 to become a member of Radiology Associates, Inc. Oklahoma City.
Ralf had a love for scouting and during his tenure as a Scout Master, 11 young men became Eagle Scouts. He spent countless summers camps, trips to Philmont New Mexico and a national and a world Jamboree. He also received the Silver Beaver Award in 1984, Last Frontier Council. Ralf retired in 2001, but that did not last long. He returned to part time work travelling to cities like Duncan, Ardmore and Muskogee.
