Ralph Edward Howell

Ralph was born on October 21, 1950, in Newport News, Virginia, to Robert Edward Howell and Mary Elizabeth (Lunsford) Howell. He grew up in Kingston, New York, before making Oklahoma his home in 1981.

In 1983, Ralph married the love of his life, Barbara Lansin, and together they shared 42 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and family.

A man who lived life on his own terms, Ralph had a deep love for his family, which he always placed above all else. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, had a passion for the music of Kid Rock, and wore his favorite color purple with pride. Those who knew him will remember his fierce spirit and determination. Ralph wanted to be remembered as someone who fought the good fight and he did, every step of the way.

Thanks to the selfless gift of a donor's heart, Ralph carried not just their own love, but the love of another, living life with profound gratitude and grace volunteering for LifeShare for many years.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, daughter Sheena Zahler and husband Mike Radley, son Ryan Howell and wife Athena Russell, and grandchildren, Kyle, Rayden, Alicia, Ransom, and Journey.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Edwin Howell and sister Octavia Howell.

A celebration of life for Ralph will be held Friday, July 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034.
