Goober was a great guy. He hung out a lot with my aunt Donna and Uncle Paul, as well as my step-dad Red.

Have some great memories of Goober!  Condolences to the family!

Steve was the un-official ambassador @Mitch Park.  I remember before I moved to Edmond, we were walking with our grandkids @Mitch and he stopped his cart to say howdy.  Right then I knew I had to live near Mitch park.  Two years later we are residents of Edmond & my dog Kirby & I walk almost every day and always started off talking sports with Steve before we walked.  Even if we didn't see each other starting off, he would see our truck and find us in the park to talk baseball (dodgers), football (OU) and Thunder.  He always talked football in season Steelers and I was a Broncos fan.  Miss him all the time.  Our thoughts go out to his family at this time.  God Bless

Our thoughts and prayers are with Goober's family.  My husband & I bowled with him at Blvd back in the day.  He had such a big personality and was always fun.   He would always wave to me when I walked in Mitch Park.

So sorry to hear of Goober's passing. He was a sweet soul and will pray for his family for peace. Hug's from Marsha and Greg Baxter and family.

Steve was a hoot to work with!  He was a dear friend.  We spent many hours working together on the streets of COE slinging garbage. One incident that always stands out in my memory of "Goober" was the time he fell on a driveway during an ice storm. This was especially funny, because, you see he never fell.  He would laugh at us when we fell and said he had great equilibrium.  Guess the ice got the best of his equilibrium that day. He will be missed but I will hold his memories close to my heart.  Until we meet again, Peace be with you my friend.

I've known Steve for over twenty years, he was a pleasure to be around and I am honored to have called him a friend. My thoughts go out to his family at this sorrowful time. "I'm going to miss you Goob!"
