Sue Elizabeth Grewell passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 16, 2014. She was born on July 14, 1933 in Fort Worth, TX to Ava Mae and Guy Clinton Sartor. Sue graduated from Classen High School, Oklahoma City, in 1951. Her professional career spanned over 40 years in the Oil & Gas Industry, culminating her retirement from Petroleum Information. It was there she met her three best friends, Dena Dietsch, Michie Methvin, & Thelma Olmstead. Sue enjoyed volunteering for Mobile Meals at New Covenant Christian Church. Sue’s hobbies included gardening & sports, first and foremost OU Sooners, OKC Thunder and The Dallas Cowboys. She watched professional golf and recently volunteered for the U.S. Senior open. She was a passionate gardener, who won the Parklane Estate, “Yard of the Month” on several occasions. She enjoyed daily walks throughout the neighborhood with her constant companion, Bentley, her Shih-Tzu. Sue’s passing will create a poignant void in many hearts. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edgar Grewell, mother Ava Mae Sartor, and brother Carl Sartor. She is survived by her children, Debbie, Mike, Chris & Kristyn Grewell. Her pride and joy included her granddaughters Paige, Cassady, and Cera Grewell, with all 3 graduating in 2015. A true family divided with Paige graduating from OU, Cassady from OSU, and Cera from Edmond North. She is also survived by her life-long friends, Michie and Max Methvin and Family, Dena Dietsch and Family, Lesa and Tim Huff and Family, Greg and Joni Land and Family, Dana Land, Donna and Steve Kaul and Family, and Dixie Moody. A Lifetime Celebration will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, July 19, 2014 at New Covenant Christian Church, Oklahoma City.
