

In memory of our beloved wife, mother, and sister. Valerie Minette Milas was born to Otis and Ruth Dyer in Oklahoma City on February 14, 1958. She attended Northwest Classen High School, Star Spencer high School, and Rose State College. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. Houston.
Valerie loved to talk to people, she never met a stranger. Valerie had a beautiful smile that everybody loved about her. She had a quiet spirit that was always there to listen, give advice or comfort you. She loved attending family gatherings and always made her famous potato salad. Valerie loved sitting outside where she always felt at peace.
Valerie had a deep love for life, finding joy in the simple pleasures. Her favorite music, gospel, filled her spirit, and her favorite colors, red and purple, brightened every room she entered. She cherished her perfect days spent in peace, sipping on hot coffee and watching her beloved soap operas.
A woman of unwavering faith, Valerie was a beacon of strength to all who knew her. She taught everyone around her the importance of having strong faith and the power of perseverance. Her love for her family was limitless, and her devotion to them was evident in everything she did.
For over four years, Valerie fought a courageous battle against kidney failure, enduring the challenges of dialysis with remarkable resilience. Despite the hardships, she remained a symbol of strength and hope, never losing her faith or her love for those around her.
Valerie leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and perseverance. Her spirit will love on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those who were touched by her kindness and strength.
Valerie is preceded in death by her parents Otis Ray Dyer and Ruth Mae Holmes, her daughter Sophia, and her sister Gina. Valerie is survived by her husband of 44 years David, her two sons Darian and wife Stephanie of Oklahoma City and David Milas jr. and wife Stacey of Colorado Springs. Valerie is also survived by her brother Otis Ray Dyer Jr. and spouse Kenneth Long, her sister Angela Dyer Langstons and husband Michael of Edmond, and her sister Patricia Dyer Coleman and husband Michael of Oklahoma City as well as six grandchildren Alexia, Mariah, Aiyana, Olivia, Adelyn, and Legend and a host of nieces and nephews.
Valerie will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A funeral service for Valerie will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Dominion and Glory International Ministries, 2145 N Hood St, Oklahoma City, OK 73111. Following the funeral service will be a committal service at 11:30 AM at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, 12813 NE 50th St, Spencer, OK 73084.
