Warren James Hengel Sr. was born on December 18, 1933 and passed on April 8, 2011. He was born in Adrian, MN to Joseph and Helen Hengel. Warren attended University of South Dakota and was a Lt. Colonel of the United States Air Force.
He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Edmond where he was a Divine Mercy Promoter: certified by Pope John Paul II, Institute of Divine Mercy.
Warren Hengel Sr. is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Harlan Hengel, a sister, Lois Nieman and a daughter, Kim Hengel. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Hengel, son, Warren J. Hengel Jr., and wife, Maria Hengel of Fresno, CA, daughters, Cindy Case and husband, Dennis Case Edmond, OK and Renee Schuman and husband, Dale Schuman of Couerd’ Alene, ID, brother Glynn Hengel and wife, Brenda Hengel of Pahrump, NV, seven grandchildren, 1 niece and 4 nephews. Warren was an incredibly loving father and devoted husband—a hero to his family!
Viewing will be held Tuesday, April 12 and Wednesday April 13, from 9a-8p at Baggerley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 14, 2011 beginning at 1:00 pm at St. John the Baptist with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery.
