William Richard Dixon passed away on November 11, 2025 at the age of 80. His story began in Uniontown, Pennsylvania on July 21, 1945. After moving to Oklahoma, and later completing a master's degree, he worked many years as a special education teacher and tennis coach. Upon retiring, Richard focused more on his talent for writing. His poems and essays have been published in literary journals and magazines, as well as a number of anthologies, and even a chapbook "Leaving Home". In addition to his passion for writing, he was an avid reader. He enjoyed playing tennis, traveling, and loved all genres of music and movies. Richard was a master of trivia, and a connoisseur of jokes, always full of wit and wisdom. One of his favorite quotes, "Enjoy every sandwich" was one that he lived by. He is survived by his children Gregg Dixon, Christi DeBoer, and Cassady Dixon, and grandchildren Shaun, Caleb, Rachel, and Adam. He will be greatly missed.
