Bill was a proud Navy veteran and was highly involved in Demolay, the Edmond Masonic Lodge, and Amaranth. He was an assistant scout master and baseball coach for his sons. He was retired from the Daily Oklahoman.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Madlyn. He is survived by his sons, William Christopher Holmes and Thomas Hayden Holmes and his wife Alicia; and grandson, Hayden.
