

She was born on October 16, 1932, in Sparks, Oklahoma, to George and Lois Neighbors. Wilma graduated from high school and spent many years in Shawnee, where she raised her four children with strength, grace, and unwavering love. In 1973, she moved to Edmond to care for her parents, a testament to her selfless nature and deep sense of family responsibility.
Wilma was a woman of faith and integrity, known for her patience, kindness, and honesty—qualities she instilled in her children and grandchildren. She loved old gospel music, the color orange, and found joy in the simple blessings of life. A proud graduate of Shawnee Beauty College, Wilma not only became a skilled beautician but later served as an instructor, helping shape the lives and careers of others with the same encouragement she gave her family.
She was a longtime member of Liberty Church in Shawnee and later joined the First Presbyterian Church of Edmond, where her faith remained a guiding force in her life.
On May 19, 1950, she married the love of her life, Don Hollis. Their union was built on devotion and mutual respect and remained a cornerstone of her life.
Wilma’s legacy is carried on by her loving family, whom she cherished deeply.
Wilma is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Don and son, James Mathew Hollis.
She is survived by her children, Greggory D. Hollis and wife Peggy, Rebecca Moreland, and Marla Jayne Moore, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and one on the way.
A visitation for Wilma will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034.
A graveside service will occur Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park, 16006 S Rock Creek Rd, Shawnee, OK.
