It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Adel Kiskaroly on January 01, 2024, at the age of 57, after a short illness. Adel is survived by his dedicated and loving wife Aleksandra, children Matea (Matthew), Daniel, and Allen (Devon), only sister Irma (Plama), and nephew Timur. Among those that will miss him are the families Magdic, Kurpjel, and Mucibabic, and all other relatives and friends.
Adel was born in Sarajevo on March 21, 1966 to his parents Mihael and Samija. He immigrated to Canada with his wife, daughter, and first son to forge a better life for his family. He built this life from the ground up, and joyfully welcomed his second son to complete his small and tight-knit family unit in Edmonton.
Adel loved his career in Business Intelligence and worked happily for 20 years at Enbridge, from where he was fortunate to retire in 2020. Through retirement, he was able to reignite and reconnect with many passions and hobbies. He loved learning and reading, his video games, astronomy, physics, skiing, birds, nature, and above all was happy to have more time to spend with his family.
Though his life ended much too soon, he provided the life he always wanted for his family.
A Funeral Service will be held at Memories Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 9 at 1:00 PM at Memories Funeral Home, 13403 St. Albert Trail, Edmonton, Alberta with interment to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the Pilgrims Hospice Society, to whom they are deeply grateful for creating the most peaceful place for him to spend his final days. Donations can be made directly through their website at: https://pilgrimshospice.com/get-involved/make-a-donation/ The family would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all those that supported them through this difficult time.
