Tante Annie and family: Uncle Albert was one of the greatest men I have ever known. His love of family and life, and the simple joy that radiated in his beaming smile will always be with me. He was and is a strong role model for me. He heart is heavy with your sorrow. My family and I send love and prayers to you all.

In this day of a great family loss and sorrow, we are reminiscing about your famous patriarch. We remember Albert as a kind, peaceful, and hard working gentleman with a keen sense of humour and a heart of gold. Albert was unequalled in his generosity and everyday kindness, especially to the little folks.  For that reason alone, we shall always cherish Albert in our memories. Dear Krause family,

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your father and grandfather whose special love for you and your precious love for him was so beautifully expressed during the funeral service today. To have had the privilege to personally enjoy the countless conversations with him during the past decades will always be a cherished memory.

A German Theologian (Bonhoeffer) wrote: “There is nothing which can replace the absence of a loved one and you should not even try, you can only bear it. This may seem harsh, but, it is at the same time a consolation since the gap remains unfilled and thereby continues the togetherness, despite the pain. We have to realize 
that the more beautiful the memories are, the more difficult is the parting. Gratitude, for the life lived
together, transmutes the agony into silent gladness.

You should bear within yourself the beauty of the bygone years not like a sting, but as a precious gift.
A precious gift is not constantly looked at, only during special moments, like the hidden treasure of
which you are certain. Then continuous happiness and strength will remain with you, thankful for the time you have lived together.”

Thinking about encounters with Mr. Krause at the store over many years just brings a smile to our faces and a warmth to our hearts.  My family is in its 4th generation of shopping in this amazing deli.  I have childhood memories of Albert and Annie in the store.  Kind and generous and always cheerful. Little did he realize what wonderful memories he has provided through such kindness.  For certain, Mr. Krause has been a successful businessman in the community that my family has long admired.  We are grateful to have known him for so many years.  May your thoughts and memories comfort you.

Sorry to hear of Alberts passing.Our prayers are with you during this most difficult time. It was only at Christmas shopping at the K & K that we had such a wonderful visit and brought back those memories of the times we spent together with you, Albert, Rudy & Herta at your place
in the Banyan serving your guests the wonderful sausage & rye bread brought over to Honolulu,Hawaii. As well the good times at the Brau Haus in the International Market Place. Sincere condolences to the Krause Family.  I/we have known Albert Krause and family since coming to Canada in 1957, when I was ten years old.  If memory serves correctly, their first store was in Lauderdale...oh goodness, such a long time ago.  I still shop at K & K.  Can't be without many of the German products.  Lots of memories over the decades!
