It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our father, grandfather, great-grandfather and loving husband who passed away at the age 87. Alejandro was taken from us peacefully by God with his loving wife of 47 years, Purificacion, by his side on July 22, 2019.
He will be deeply missed and treasured by his four sons and two daughters; Cesar (Lucy), Rene (Buena), Alex Jr (Baby), Hernan (Chit) Grace (Eric), & Kathy. Alejandro was known to his 16 grandchildren as “Grandpa”, “Gramps” and “Lulu”: Shaun (Nel), Corrina (Derek), Jenna, Jeffery (Faye), Eric (Carleen), David, Dominic, Kristina, Samantha (Jason), Jenny, Michelle (Matty), Elizabeth, Ethan, Gavin, Kaila and Akaisha. He was also known to his 9 great-grandchildren as “Great Grandpa”: Isaiah, Mackenize, Avery, Mason, Spencer, Owen, Asia, Ekin and Ella.
Alejandro has touched the hearts of many with his kindness, helpfulness and love. Family and friendship were very important to him. He was called “Dad” by so many as well as “Compare” by many more.
Our family wish to express our sincere thanks to all the medical staff at the St. Albert Sturgeon Hospital, as well as the Palliative Care Unit at the Edmonton General Hospital. We truly appreciate the comfort and care which you gave him.
Memorial Tributes greatly accepted to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in honor of Alejandro Manuntag.
