It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Andrew Hempseed, who fought a courageous battle with Cancer. He passed away on February 3rd, 2023, at the young age of 33. He leaves behind his mother Shirley Hempseed (Mayo) and sister Chantelle Hempseed.
Andrew was a great friend to many, a remarkable son and unbelievable brother. A young man who always exuded poise, Andrew was known for his kind and generous spirit, and left an impression wherever he went. He was incredibly talented, playing every sport he could get his hands on, soccer, baseball and certainly hockey. He was a true comedian; you were destined to crack a smile and most certainly a good laugh anytime spent with him. Words cannot describe the amazing young man he was and forever will be.
Family and friends will honour Andrew, each in their own way, if you love hockey – go for a skate and think of him or be sure to cheer on the Montreal Canadiens as tribute.
A Celebration of Andrew Hempseed’s life will be held on Friday, February 17th, 2023 1:00 pm at Hainstock's Funeral Home & Crematorium at 9810 34 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6E 6L1.
