It is with deep sadness that the family announces the death of Angelina Bulatao on May 9, 2017, at 11:45 am at the age of 81. Angelina passed away peacefully at Grey Nuns Hospital with her children by her side. Angelina was born in San Carlos, Pangasinan Philippines on November 28, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Pedro Rosario and Epifania Rosario, and the wife of late Ireneo Bulatao, and the mother of the late Lito and Lino Bulatao. She was also the eldest sister of the late Guillermo and Tony Rosario and the great grandmother of the late Camilah Nathalie . Her youngest sister is still living, Corazon Manamtam.
She is survived by her 8 loving children: Zenaida, Roberto, Norma, Dolores, Gilberto, Delia, Belinda, and Lina. She will also be missed by her 26 grandchildren: Noel, Janice, Cathy, Joy, Myra, Ryan, Christian, Edwin, Algine, Grace, Claire, Metos, Jordan, BJ, Jojo, Raymond, Mary Anne, Melody, Cherrie, Brenda, Darren, Shantelle, Gerome, Haley, James, and Raffy; her 9 great grandchildren: John Michael, Jesrine Grace, Jenica Mae, Loraine Grace, Zia, Zero, Zyrus Dave, Andrea, and Raynen.
Angelina created countless memories for her family and friends to cherish. Her smile will be missed by many. Angelina loved and protected her family fiercely and taught her children to be loving, caring, and hard-working people through her own example. After her late husband who was a farmer passed away, she started selling all kinds of produce (vegetables) in the market while living in the Philippines. Having a good education was important to her; she did not want her children to be like her where she was unable to go to school because her late parents couldn't afford her education. She worked very hard so that her children would have a college education.
When she moved to Canada with her 7 children in November 1990, she was a stay-home mother and she looked after her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing pillow cases and did alterations on her own clothes. She loved playing cards and she enjoyed playing virtual online slot machines on her tablet and going to the casino once or twice a week. She was a woman of great faith, spirituality, and a novena prayer devotee. She will truly be missed by many of her extended family, relatives, and friends in both countries: Canada and the Philippines.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bradley and his team and to all Unit 54 staff from Grey Nuns Hospital for their care and compassion.
