It is with great sadness that his family announce his passing. He was a kind, gentle and loving Father and Opa. He was an independent man who lived his life the way he wanted. He was at peace with himself and the world.

He will be very much missed by his children Silvia (Pat) and Michael (JoAnn) , by his grandchildren Robert (Annette), Stephen (Jolene), Jennifer (Chad), Alicia (James), Thomas, Scotty, and Sam and also 6 great grandchildren - Gregory, Jack, Zachary, Remy, Claire and Luke. He will also be missed by his sister in law Christl and extended family and close friends.

He has gone from this earth and reunited with his beloved wife Irma, his parents Margaret and Michael and his brother Hans.

Our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses of units 54 and 43 at the Grey Nuns Hospital for the respect and care you showed our Dad.

A Mass of Cristian Burial will be celebrated at St John the Evangelist - 9830 - 148 Street Edmonton on Thursday February 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at St Anthony's Cemetery at 5300 - 106 Street.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
