Barry William Spence

Barry William Spence was born on June 25th, 1949 to Irene and Walter Spence in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.

On February 28th 2020, he left this world to join both his parents and three siblings; Kathleen (Ben Lilley and family), Randy and Lori (Sheldon Larson and family), grandson; Brendon Nichols, along with many in-laws and friends who he held near and dear in his heart.

Married on February 19th, 1972, Barry and Shirley (Park) spent the next 48 years raising their 5 beautiful children and enjoying the time spent with their 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Left behind to feel the loss of their “dad” and “papa” are:

Michael and Sherry along with their children; Shelby, Jordan, Dylan, and Ocean.

Cory and Eva along with their children; Emily, Jessica, Victoria, and Ryan, and grandson; Bently.

Sheldon and Nicole along with their children; Hannah (Dana), Jocelyn and Ethan, and grandson; Chance.

Roberta and John along with their children; David, Kayla and Zac.

Michelle and Jeff along with their children; Bobbi Jo (Dean), Paige, Meghan, Greyson, and Jackson, and granddaughters; Brooklyn and Payton.

He will be fondly remembered as they grieve his passing by his extensive family of in-laws, nieces and nephews, and friends (all of whom he considered his family).

That man is a success – who has lived well, laughed often and loved much;

Barry loved family.

Barry loved friends.

He loved to be the biggest fan at any of the many sports events he attended!

Barry loved to joke and tease.

Barry loved to go to bingo.

He loved to take the scenic route as he made his way around to visit and check up on those he needed to see.

There is so much more that could be said of all that Barry loved but no words will ever describe the loss that will be felt by all of us as we say our final goodbyes.
