Caroline Mary Makaruk

March 30 1949 – May 12, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Caroline Mary Makaruk, who left us peacefully on May 12th, 2025, at the age of 76. She was surrounded by love and is now at rest.

Caroline was born in March 30th, 1949 to Alice Desjarlais-Batoche and Frederick Batoche. She carried their strength and kindness throughout her life, sharing those gifts with everyone around her.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Shirley Makaruk and Joanne Makaruk, and her beloved partner Neil Dragusanu. Caroline was a proud and caring grandmother to Alicia and Daphney Makaruk, as well as Miranda, Michael, Melanie, and Myron Dela Cruz.

She is predeceased by her cherished son, Milton Makaruk, and grandson, Anthony Makaruk.

Caroline will be remembered for her gentle spirit, quiet strength, and unwavering love for her family. Her warmth, compassion, and presence brought comfort to all who knew her.
