We say have a good sleep and good travels to our mother who lived to the age of 88 years old. Our mother had a stroke on December 16, 2012, which we thought she would not survive from but she showed us how amazingly strong she was and lived another 13 years at St.Joseph's Auxiliary Hospital, until she passed on Friday, December 12, 2025. at 10:10 p.m.
Catherine was born April 8, 1937 in Hobbema, Alberta to Elizabeth (Eliza) and George W. Lee. Sibling to 4 brothers and 7 sisters, Richard, Johnny, Dennis, Marshall and Tillie, Annie, Lorraine, Linda, Mary, Georgina, and Yvonne.
Catherine's life journey was not always easy but she had a lot of love from so much family. Our mom and dad (Philomen Collette) were married 25 years until separation and had 7 good looking children. Those good looking children gave her some good looking grandchildren, which then gave her more great looking "great grandchildren." She was a tough mom but she truly loved all her children and grandchildren. She would travel any place to help and give anything she could to those she loved.
Mom was amazing in so many different ways because not only did she live through so much to be here with her kids, but she was always learning new things (taking another class) and her ability to create and craft was such a part of her nature, we could only wish to have a small portion of her creativity passed down to us. Her compassion to help others in need was a teaching lesson for all of us, we were blessed to have watched and learned from her. I wish I could tell you So Much More about Catherine Lee and her wonderful or mixed up adventures of life, but no words would be enough, just know she is an amazing woman we love and called "Mom."
