Daphne Irene Ada Mary Monks (nee Everett) passed away peacefully on October 28, 2014. Daphne is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Peter. They started their journey together in England, immigrated to Newfoundland, then spent over 30 years in Northwestern Ontario before moving to Edmonton. She will be lovingly missed by her children Kay (Cal), Ian, Brent (Mandy) as well as her grandchildren Andrew (Kris), Rebecca (Ernesto), Jessica (Brian), Damian, Steven and Makenna. Daphne was also blessed to have 5 great-grandchildren also - Kennedy, Lexi, Ethan, Tyson and Cohen. She will be missed by many life long friends and family around the world.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, November 3rd, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 4303 20 Ave, Edmonton. The Memorial service will be at 11am with a luncheon to follow. Interment will be at South Haven Cemetery. The family are deeply grateful for the care she received from the staff and volunteers at Millwoods Shepherds care.
