Belated condolences to Bonnie and family on Dave's passing. i scrolled through the pictures and Dave certainly appeared to have lived a full and adventurous life with his family. So sorry for your loss.

In three words, we can describe the amazing man we were all so blessed to know. LAUGHTER - which he would bring to others with his funny stories, the smile that would light up a room, and the laugh that came from deep in his belly...he had laugh lines that warms our hearts as we know every one had been well earned.  PATIENCE - raising his incredible baby girl, building his noble career, being Doug's euchre partner for 21 years, and with every home project or renovation he did....patience was his virtue.  LOVE - for his beautiful bride was so very clear to everyone that knew him, for his daughter and new son, for being a fire fighter and for his friends who he treated like his family. Dave had a smile and laugh that was so distinctive and I'm sure he got in trouble because of it in his younger years growing up. No matter how he felt, he always had a smile and that is one of the most precious things I will miss about him.  At the end of every telephone call he would always make me laugh before saying good-bye, it became his little joke that he always had the last laugh.  Dave lived life to the fullest.  He had no regrets about how he lived his life.  He was the kind of person that everyone wanted for a friend. He had such a positive outlook on life and he felt things always happened for a reason.  He faced his illness as a true Hero.  Dave had a life that most people can only dream of.  His beautiful wife, and best friend Bonnie and adorable daughter Ashley, completed his life. These two women had been his inspiration and meaning for life. They are the reason Dave was the person he was and he came so far with his illness. They were his motivation and it was because of the love this family shared so openly always, that Dave knew he lived a full life and to see Ashley marry Buu whom he totally approved of was a big bonus. Dave's motto was to live life as if there is no tomorrow. My Little Brother has come to the end of his journey in life and he has left us with such sadness. But also as his intended, so many beautiful memories. Dave was our son-in-law but we loved him like our son.  We are so proud of how he battled this terrible "c" and how he encourage his family to carry on without him.
