On July 19, 2019 at the age of 60 years Debbie passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Beloved wife of Clifford Derksen, her memory will be treasured by Levi (Waylene), Jonas (Roxanne), Caleb, Luke, Connie (Mike) her sister Lynn Landis (Jim), her Aunt Gail Kelly. Debbie was predeceased by her mother Beverly Kelly 2006, her father Norman Provost 2017 and her brother Stephen Bowen in 2002. She is sadly mourned by her grandchildren; Cale, Declan, Hayven, Archer, Layla, Dawsynn, Morgan and Jacob as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Debbie was born in Montreal and moved to Prince George, B.C. in 1979 where she met the love of her life Clifford. Debbie and Clifford moved to Alberta in 1983 and spent many years in Westlock, AB. Debbie worked for a law firm in Westlock and St. Albert while raising her family. Debbie spent her time at ballparks, hockey rinks and the curling club with her family. Debbie was very involved in community and made many friends who were drawn in by her sunshine. Debbie loved camping with her children and friends at Meadow Lake Provincial Park every summer. This is where her children grew up and made so many memories. Debbie and Clifford moved to St. Albert in 2001. Debbie and Clifford took up golf and enjoyed many summers at Pineridge Golf Resort and at Rich Valley Golf Course. In 2008 they fell in love with Huatulco, Mexico and bought a condo in the little town of La Crucecita where they spent as much time as possible with family and friends. Debbie was a pillar of strength to so many people and her zest for life contagious.
