It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of their loving husband, father, and grandfather Don Matras after a brief but courageous battle with cancer on May 25, 2013 at the age of 63 years.
Don will be forever missed by his loving family, his wife Suzanne of 37 years; daughters and their husbands Kelly and Luke Brewster of Thorsby and Jennifer and Doug Palmer of Leduc as well as grandson Jacob Palmer and soon to be born grandchild.
A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Parish, 7508-29 Avenue, Edmonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Parish, followed by interment at the City of Leduc Municipal Cemetery, 6108 - 43 Street, Leduc. Donations may be made in his name to a charity of one’s choice.
