Doris Jean Lee

1928-2014

With great sadness, the Lee family announces that our dear mom/grandma passed away at the University Hospital in Edmonton April 27, 2014 at age 85.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: son, Scott (Mary Lou) Lee, daughter Tara Lee; grandchildren Jennifer (Trevor) Singbeil and Erin Lee and great-grandson Devon Singbeil. She also leaves her dear brother Keith (Irene) Graham as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Doris was pre-deceased by her husband Kenneth James Lee and son Graham Grant Lee.

Doris was born in St. Mary’s Hospital, Camrose to Robert and Pearl Graham of Duhamel, Alberta on October 30, 1928. She completed her high school at Camrose High School (CHS) and continued her education at the Royal Alex School of Nursing where she graduated with her RN degree. Doris and Ken married shortly after and enjoyed raising their family in both Calgary and Edmonton. She was active in and took great strength from her association with the church community.

A Funeral Service will be held at Riverbend United Church, 14907 45 Avenue, at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 6, 2014.

The family would like to thank the staff of Unit 32 of the Leduc Community Hospital for their dedication and compassion during mom’s stay.
