I can't help but smile when I think of Doug. Doug was one of those people that one is very lucky to meet in life. Genuine, kind and very caring. He had my utmost respect and I know of many others who felt the same way. He will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences,

Peggy and Hillary, our hearts are heavy with your loss. You know, we respected and cared for Doug. Paul was fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Doug in St. Albert and has such an admiration for him both in his professional approach to his work and to the friendship that developed. Our prayers are with you both.

Peggy - I have been thinking about you at this difficult time. Doug was one of the most well respected Comptrollers in our community, and I always appreciated his knowledge and perspecctive on issues. More than that, he was just a great guy and a friend. We will miss him. My heart goes out to you and your daughter, and I trust God gives you the strength to stay strong. Cherish the memories...

My thoughts and prayers are with Doug's family. He was very proud of his wife and Daughter Hilary and you could hear the love in his voice whenever he spoke of them. One of my best memories of Doug was our very first meeting. I work in Calgary, and when people in our group starting teasing him about all the sporting team competition/rivalries between Edmonton and Calgary, he was quick to point out by telling us all he lived in St. Albert. It was funny. I knew then what kind of person he was and have appreciated him since. I'm truly truly sorry for his loss.
