Elizabeth Clooney

September 22, 1936 – September 26, 2010

Four days following her 74th birthday, with family at her side, Betty Clooney of Edmonton, passed away from complications of cancer.

Betty leaves to mourn her daughter Tara, and grandson Damon Clooney (Ayvi Alcain), daughter Trish (Len Broad) and their children Derek and Sarah Broad of Hinton, and her son Tim. Betty is survived by many cherished friends, relatives, and the father of her children P.J. Clooney. Betty was predeceased by her parents Bill and Dora Mair and brother, Gordon Mair.

The family would like to thank the staff of Unit 42 at the Royal Alex for the months of care they provided to their mother and the kind and caring staff of the Norwood Palliative Care wing for the comfort given to us all.

A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at Memories Funeral Home, 13403-St. Albert Trail, on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 10:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Betty may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 1010-10117 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5J 1W8.
