March 28, 1937 – February 21, 2012
Everett (Ev) will be deeply missed by Jeanette (Jean), his loving wife of 54 years, son Ken (Betty), daughter Kathy (Ron, Candace, Jayden, Ashley, Jon), sisters Delphine and Judy (Bobby), brother Don (Sue), brother in law Bob (Kay), niece Kelly, nephew Kevin, his 4 legged sidekick Tonto and his pride and joy grandchildren Jason, Andrew and Natasha as well as his many nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Ev was born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia and enjoyed a rich and fulfilling life with a 31 year career as a Flight Engineer in the RCAF. In his “retirement” he excelled as an Instructor at NAIT where he was honoured as Instructor of the Year.
Ev had many interests and was a collector car enthusiast. Most of all, he loved spending time with friends and family. Ev was a master story teller and managed to see and share the humour in even the most difficult of times. He leaves us with many happy memories.
The family is grateful for the care and support of Dr. Joy and the staff and volunteers of the Cross Cancer Institute, the Royal Alexandra Hospital, The Centre for Lung Health and The Cold Club.
A Celebration of Ev’s Life will be held on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Unit 1105, Londonderry Mall (lower level, NE corner).
Donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2 or to The Centre for Lung Health 11111 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5K 0L4
