Grace Lukose

She is survived by her daughters; Anita (Don) and Shami (Raj), her grandchildren; Jesse, Ryan, Chloe, and Ben. Grace was predeceased by her husband Jacob Lukose and her parents Dr. M.C. Verghese and Mrs. Saramma Verghese. Grace is also survived by her siblings Dr. Molly Mathew, Mrs. Sheela George, Mrs. Mercy Jacob, Mrs. Ramani Verghese and Mr. Chacko Verghese.

Grace married Jacob in 1957 in India and had Anita in 1959. Grace and Anita joined Jacob in Chicago in 1962 where he was studying his business degree. Shami was born in 1964.

Together the family immigrated to Montreal in 1965 where Grace was a housewife until Shami was in elementary school. She joined the workforce and worked full time at Holt Renfrew.

The family moved to Edmonton in 1979 and Grace worked for the Alberta Government until her retirement in 1993.

Grace loved to cook and garden. Her spirit will live on through her family and we will cherish her memory forever.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Memories Funeral Home.
