In the evening of November 1, 2012, at the age of 81, Gunter died unexpectedly, but peacefully, in his easy chair, after dozing off while reading.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Loe; sons Andreas and Mark (Marusia); daughters Brigitte (Guy) Leburel and Christine (Garry) Schultz; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A public viewing will take place on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at Hainstock's Funeral Home, 9810 34 Avenue, where the Funeral Service will commence at 1:00 p.m.
