All of our family are very sorry to hear about Dr. Baker's passing. He and Mrs. Baker were a wonderful partnership, and together with our parents, they were the best model of life long friendships we have seen, and we will always remember.

We are really saddened to have Stewart leave our Cameo Park community.  He and Dorothy were friends to everyone here, and we miss them both greatly.  We send our sympathies to all their family members.

To the Family of Dr. Baker:  
Your Dad, Father-in-Law, Grandfather, was my very first dentist.  I remember being terrified to go, although he never once hurt me.  I remember crying and probably making his life miserable and at the end of every appointment, getting something  out of the treasure box for being "so good"!  My favourite things were plaster shapes of things like Donald Duck heads you could paint with watercolours.  Your Dad never once lost his patience with me.  I remember a sweet, gentle person who obviously lived a long and fruitful life.  He will forever be in my memories, and I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Just a quick note - Dr. Baker was my dentist from the age of 4 or 5 and he did a LOT of work on my young teeth - he was always so gentle and allowed my father to stand by the dentist's chair and hold my hand through every procedure...although when I turned 13 Dr. Baker said a little gruffly "I think its time you don't need your dad here anymore isn't it?" and that was the end of that. He had pictures of you children with your beautiful teeth - I will never forget that - the little ceramic figurines he gave kids to paint when they went home, and most of all the little furniture in the waiting room - quite impressive in those days (I'm talking late 50s). So sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful man and when I think of him I see him smiling. Thanks.

Dear Baker family: Growing up the names Stew and Dorothy were spoken so often that I thought they were part of our family.  When later dad told me they were not formally family, but that he and Dr. Baker worked together, I was surprised and saddened. I remember it felt like I'd somehow lost part of our family. It is with that same feeling of sadness that I learned both Stew and Dorothy had passed from this life. My family and I offer our sincere condolences. Dear Stew and Family,

I was saddened to read of your Dad's passing Stew.  I have fond memories of him being my first hockey coach and especially when he came to visit me in the hospital.  I was missing hockey to get my tonsils out and he made the time in his busy schedule to come to the hospital and show his concern.  It made me feel pretty special and although it was over 50 years ago it is a memory of my childhood I often recall when I think about people going the extra mile to do something nice for someone else.
Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
What a wonderful life your Dad led and what an amazing legacy he and your Mom left in you, your brothers and sisters and all the grandchildren. I am sure they were justly and incredibly proud of all of you and your accomplishments.

Dear Baker family,
I was so sorry to read the obituary in the Journal this morning. Both your mom and dad were greatly important in the lives of the Blaquiere family. We will miss them dearly.
