Ida Kerker

February 21, 1935November 29, 2019

On November 29th, 2019, the beautiful matriarch of our family peacefully left us to join her family above. Our hearts are broken. She is survived by her loving husband Sigmund, her sons Ken, Marvin (Yvonne), daughter Kristine (Tim), and her grandchildren that she adored; Spencer, Zachary, Alyssa, Adam and Anthony. Also mourning are her siblings Robert Kwirant, Hilde Sedo (Vic), Hanna Young (Jim) and many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Wanda Kwirant, her brother, Ewald Kwirant, and extended family and friends that she is now reunited with in the loving arms of God. Ida was married to her loving husband, Sig, for 63 years, dedicated her life to raising her three children, and doting on her grandchildren. She was the pinnacle of our family and her love, faith and many talents will live on through us. A service to celebrate Ida’s life will be held on Friday, December 6th, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 10014 81 Avenue, Edmonton. Memorial donations in Ida’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

My entire Family and I want to extend our most sincere Condolences on the loss of your beloved wife, mother, and Grandmother.
Ida was a radiant light in our lives and we loved every visit we had with her. The twinkle in her eyes when she laughed was seen clearly with each chuckle. I loved her laugh... and the bantering between her and Sig was something I will never forget. I can hear Sig saying “ iiiiiiiiiiiiidah” each time they were teasing each other. They always made me laugh, and I absolutely loved being in their company. They were my favourite couple of all my Parents’ friends.
I’m going to miss you Ida, as will my parents and the rest of my family.
God Bless you Ida...
Love from Melanie, Mike, Heidi and Werner Steiner. ❤️
