They were married in May 1968. They built a beautiful home in Mill Woods in 1973 where they raised their family and were both very active in the community. He was on the board for Leefield Community League, MCARFA, and the Scandinavian Businessman’s Club. Jens was a proud entrepreneur running a successful construction business for over 40 years.
Jens was known to be kind, gentle, caring, and well spoken. A devoted Oilers fan, he loved spending time with his family and friends and spoiling his grandchildren with ice cream. He was a fantastic story teller and a great singer. He loved to host big events for all his friends and family and you could always count on him to give a heartfelt speech.
Jens fought a hard battle against Parkinson’s disease over the last 12 years. The family would like to thank Dr. Murji, Dr. Borger, and the compassionate staff at the Good Samaritan Dr. Gerald Zetter Care Center for caring for Dad in his last days.
