With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Stan on Wednesday, Dec 10, 2014 at the age of 89. A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, Stan will be fondly remembered by his loving wife Lilian of 64 years, daughter Ann (Lorne); son Timothy (Holly); his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Adam, Michael, Chad; and great-grandchildren, Rhyse and Zachary, along with his elder brother, Lawrence and numerous nieces and nephews. Stan was predeceased by his parents Louis Schmidt and Cora (nee Bigelow); his sisters Marie, Dorothy and Eva and his brother Wilfred.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Laurel Heights Retirement Residence for their compassionate care.
A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at St. Theresa’s Catholic church 7508 – 29 Avenue. In lieu of floral tributes, donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Association or the Hope Mission can be made in Stan’s memory.
