It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Kathleen Johnston at the age of 93.
A wonderful person, beloved by all who knew her, with a personality that sparkled. She will be sorely missed. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Axe (Dave) and Gerry Anderson (Dwight); grandchildren, Michelle Axe-Scott (Craig), Joelle Dobin, Jaime Anderson, and Liam Axe; great grandchildren, Ethan, Maya and Maylana; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, George Woolley and Mary Woolley (nee Schmidt); husbands, James Nelson Umphrey and Howard Johnston; and by granddaughter, Kristy Anderson.
A funeral service will be held at Strathearn United Church (8510 95 Ave, Edmonton) on December 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with reception to follow. Interment will take place at Glenwood Memorial Gardens (52356 Range Rd 232, Sherwood Park)
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kathleen’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
