So sorry to hear of the passing of Lorne,  I remember your father as a kind and caring man who loved his family very much. It would show every time he looked or talked about his children he would get that twinkle in his eyes... he was such a gentle giant and  always had kind words to say. Your father is a man who loved you very much.

I am so sorry to hear of Lorne's passing, he was such a caring man who showed so much love for his family I saw it every time he looked at his children or would tell a story about them anda would get that twinkle in his eye. He was such a kind and loving man a gentle giant. Remember all the love your father showed you for he loved all his children very much.

I have many fond memories of my days at SBB / LRDC and one of those memories was when ever I went to the warehouse there was Lorne with a smile and a friendly hello.  I will always remember Lorne as a very kind and gentle person.

I'll miss knowing you are walking this fine earth Lorne - you were one of the most giving and thoughtful people I ever had the pleasure to work with, you truly did care about others and how your actions affected them....which is a rare, rare thing in this world, rest well my friend! :-)

I was sorry to learn that Lorne passed away.  My condolences go to the family.  Several decades ago I hired Lorne to work at the School Book Branch when he was just a teenager and full of mischief.  I tried to help him with problems and he seemed to respond very well.  He was a unique person, very friendly and likable.  He turned out to be a very good employee and I was delighted that continued working at the Branch until he retired.

Deeply saddened to hear of Lorne's passing. Lorne and I were colleagues for over 33 years in Alberta Education.  I have so many fond memories of the journey we travelled together throughout our days at SBB, LRDC and LRC.  Enjoyed our chats -- standing in the back parking lot, sitting at the picnic table or plunking down in the chair in his office just talking about life and comparing our stories on parenting twins.  Lots of smiles and laughter.

I was very sad to learn that Lorne has passed away.  He was such a good man.  Lorne was kind, caring and generous.  He loved his job at LRC.. He was hard working,dedicated and bloody smart.  I enjoyed every single time we talked, no matter the topic.  He was so decent and so respectful.  I enjoyed his sense of humour and especially his many impersonations that he shared with all of us at our "events" at LRC.  Every time I hear the song "Secret Agent Man" I'll think of Lorne and know he's probably tapping his toes along to the beat.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I was both a friend and colleague of Lorne during my time at the LRC and beyond. Lorne was great guy to work with as he was honest, straight forward, and always had your back and was respected by all. He also had a great sense of humor which I really enjoyed, especially at the company functions – it was always a highlight to see Lorne up on stage telling jokes and doing his John Wayne imitations. He was one of a kind and left us much too soon.  RIP Lorne.

So very very sorry to hear about the loss of Lorne. He was a big-hearted man and a loving father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed.

When a marriage happens it brings families together. I will never forget his kind words when we first met. He was a fine man, and I am deeply saddened by your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Anderson Family, I am so sorry to hear about Lorne.  I've been in Alberta Education for 34 years and although I haven't seen Lorne in recent years, I used to look forward to seeing his smiling face every day when we worked in Devonian Building as he'd bring up our courier packages.  He always had a big smile on his face and could be counted on for a witty remark or two every time you saw him.  He was like an institution around here.   My sincere sympathy to you all.  Treasure your fond memories and keep his spirit alive in your hearts forever.
