
Louis Sigman, born May 20, 1931, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, at the age of 94. Louis was born at his family home in Benton, Alberta, the son of a World War I veteran. He grew up alongside his siblings Edna, Jean, Bessie, Peggy, and Chuck. He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Norma Sigman, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage. He will also be deeply missed by his sons Ross (Robin) and Garth (Stephanie), his grandchildren Kody (Hayley), Kristen (Joey), Serena, and Gemma, and his great granddaughter Anne. Louis lived a full and independent life and was known for his humour, creativity, and quiet kindness. He enjoyed sharing stories of his early years and valued time with family. He dedicated 30 years to working at the Loblaws warehouse and was respected for his strong work ethic. In his later years, he could often be found at the family cabin, hunting and planting his spring garden. Louis will be remembered for his resilience, individuality, and love. He will be deeply missed. A service will be held on Saturday, May 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Memories Funeral Home in Edmonton.
