Well, Mr. Wood........ I loved calling you that because it confused people at times, even your daughters when they called that time I answered the phone.  Over the 40 years we rubbed shoulders, drank beer and worked together we had our ups and downs but at the the end of the day the man I remember is the talented funny guy with that charming smile that loved his daughters immensely.  Good by my friend, sleep well........

Marc was one of a kind, fun, crazy, always had a smile. Marc spoke 2 official languages, French and English, neither of which we could understand.
Memory of Screaming Eagles Hockey which I had the pleasure of playing with Marc for many years. The opposing team had a penalty shot called on them as Marc was tripped while on a breakaway to their goal. Marc was chirping at the opposing bench and grandstanding in front of ours, and finally made his way to center ice for his penalty shot. With incredible speed and style, hair flowing in the breeze, he sped off towards the goaltender. Unfortunately, he headed in the wrong direction, and let loose a blistering slapshot at our unsuspecting and unprepared goaltender. He was wide of the net by 3 feet. It took our guys a few minutes to compose ourselves for the next puck drop. 
Screaming Eagles Baseball was another example of Marcs athletic ability. Playing center field, Marc had a fly ball hit his way. As he ran towards the infield to shag that ball, he ran about 15 feet to far and the ball dropped in behind him. When asked why he could miss such a simple catch, he claimed he was running so fast, the wind made his eyes water, and he couldn't see.
My condolences to Marc's family and friends. He will be missed.
