Oscar, Melissa, Josh, Harvey, Eileen, Jennifer and her precious grandson Harlon...Marva and I were the best of friends for many years when she lived here in Newfoundland. I could not have asked for a kinder, more thoughtful and fun loving friend. We shared so many laughs together, alone with her mother Eileen. I’m sure anyone who knew her well have experienced her fun loving way. I have so many precious memories of her that will last a lifetime. She was a very special, gentle  person.

In Sept. of 2008 my late husband Fred & I, Marva, Ken & Margaret & other family members spent 2 wonderful weeks in Maui.  I have & will forever remember Marva's saying "WE ARE TEAM NUMBER 1".

We had so much fun and our graduation was one we wouldn't forget.  Marva was such an amazing person that is gone too soon. The only comfort is knowing she is not in anymore pain or suffering. I still remember the smiling little girl that came to Trepassey to visit friends and relatives and later her visits to our home. She was always very pleasant and loved a chat and a laugh. Marva,  you were like a second mother to me. Always supporting me and encouraging me through all my choices in life. You treated me as one of your own.  You knew how to throw a party like no other. You never needed a special occasion as long as there were themed decorations to go along with it.  You always opened your arms and your home to everyone and anyone. The greatest hostess I know.
