I first met Mary more than ten years ago when I joined Costco [#258] on 91 Street. We worked Security, and we often stood together at the door checking membership cards and verifying receipts. 

Mary was not only super with Costco members but with co-workers as well. 

I saw Mary as an 'old soul' with plenty of love and conviction. Beyond her infectious laughter was a deep caring about humanity. She also had the courage to stand up for what she believed was right; a great combo. 

In an age of 'to get-along, go-along,' Mary diplomatically stuck to her truths. And she was often spot on.

I hope to meet you again on the Other Side, Mary -- at Heaven's in-door. I'll be there with my Costco card and when we meet, you're getting a hug and a thumbs-up. 

Thank you, lovely lady, for pushing humanity in the right direction. We miss you.

We loved having Mary stay with us when she visited BC a few years ago. Deacon thinks of her as Grandma Mary. She was sweet and cheerful and so proud to be a Mum and Grandmother.  We are so lucky that she gave the world TJ so he could meet Jeannine. TJ, our family is much more fun with you in it and the music is way better too! Mary was a dear friend to our family and we are saddened to hear of her recent passing. Sending our prayers and deepest sympathies to the Devine family as you grieve her loss. May she rest in peace.

So sorry to hear the sad news of Mary's death. Sincere sympathy to TJ  and all her family and friends. I have lovely memories of her visiting my Mother in  Mullingar. She was always so bubbly and positive. Despite the fact that we did not meet her too often, her long chats on the phone  with her Auntie Mary allowed her to keep us all part of her life.  May she rest in peace

Dear TJ,Jeannine and Devine Family,

Mary (Mum) was so proud of you and spoke about her beautiful daughter in law and her adored grandchildren each time we talked on the phone, which was very often. Even though we were  living in different  parts of the world our friendship was sealed many years ago when she moved to Ireland, and then returned to Canada, we never lost touch. She was a loyal friend and I will miss her greatly. My family in Ireland loved her and they to have lovely memories of times spent together.

Dear TJ, Jeannine and family of Mary.

Mary raised an amazing son. From him, I learned she was an avid Edmonton Oilers fan and a good friend to many. We met a few times over the years and were glad to have Mary as part of our extended family. We send love to all who knew her.
