With great sadness, the family announces that on January 14, 2022, Norman passed away at the age of 64 years old after a short battle with cancer with his beloved wife of 35 years Wanda and his sisters holding his hands.
Norman was a proud member of Edmonton Transit for 44 years, a Nascar enthusiast with a great passion for car racing, loved his local sports teams and he was best known as Mr. MacGyver for helping everyone with always finding a solution to everything when needed. In addition, he very much enjoyed his travels to Las Vegas and relaxing with family and friends at Alberta Beach.
Norman was an amazing husband, he will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his wife Wanda and their children Jenny, Tessa(Lac), Shane(Yuliya) and six grandchildren Phong, Kianna, Presley, Macie, Ilarion and Alex. Also his father Denny and five sisters, Patricia (Bob), Maureen(Brian), Kathleen(Jim), Teresa(Bob) and Kirsten.
Norman also will be dearly missed and remembered by his nephews and nieces Christopher (Anita), Michelle(Ryan), Jens(Crystal), Brianna and Jacob, great nephews and nieces, Megan, Morgan, Lucas, Liam, Liv, Kara, Aria and other numerous relatives.
He was predeceased by his mother Muriel and brother Robert as well as his life-long furry best friends, Sheena and Teena.
Our heartfelt thanks to his sister Kathleen and the nurses and doctors of unit 57 at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, and we ask everyone who remembers Norman to celebrate in their own way.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any local animal rescue or cancer charities.
