Norman Andrew Wandzilak

It is with extreme sadness that our family announces the passing of Norman Andrew Wandzilak of Edmonton, Alberta (formerly of Vegreville) on August 6, 2014 at the age of 48 years.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of 23 years, Linda, and son Dylan. He also leaves behind his mother, Jennie Wandzilak and siblings Michael Wandzilak, Terry (Candice) Wandzilak and Nadine (David) Triska as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Walter Wandzilak, in 2012.

Norman was born in Vegreville, Alberta and was a strong believer in family and helping others. There was nothing Norman would not do to make others happy or make personal sacrifices to help others with whatever problems they may have had. He always had a smile on his face and a talent for making others comfortable and at ease.

Norman worked for 30 years in various roles within the oil and gas industry that took him to different locations within Western Canada and Eastern Europe. He was well respected for his expertise and hard work ensuring that the job got done right and everyone was safe.

Special thanks go out to the many friends and work colleagues for their support and compassion that has been shown to the family during this difficult time.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 13, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Hainstock’s Funeral Home (9810 – 34 Avenue) in Edmonton, Alberta. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the charity of one’s choice in memory of Norman
