It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick Joseph Lanteigne, on Monday, April 10 at the age of 51. Patrick died after a yearlong illness, with his partner and best friend, Mary Bennett, by his side.
Patrick moved to Alberta from Nova Scotia, as a young man. Trained as a meat cutter, in 2012 he realized his dream of running his own business, buying a gravel truck and contracting out his services to Standard General.
He was predeceased by his parents Wilfred Lanteigne (1938 to 2005) of New Waterford, NS and Patricia Florence MacLean (1944 to 2022) of New Glasgow, NS.
Patrick worked hard his entire life, but also enjoyed his time off. He loved motorbikes, hockey, playing tennis, skiing in the mountains, but most of all, a trip to the beach with Mary.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Colorectal Cancer Canada, or to a charity of one's choice.
