

It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Reinprecht on Sunday December 24, 2023. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Jaquelyn as well as his parents, Katrina Weldi and Paul Reinprecht. He will be lovingly remembered by his three children Corrie (Paul) Yusypchuk, Jeffrey (Andrea) Reinprecht and Steven (Sarah) Reinprecht. His eight grandchildren were the source of endless joy and enormous pride and he will be greatly missed by Andrew, Michael, Katarina, Sydney, Henning, Mette, Liv and Tuva. In addition, he will be fondly remembered by his sister, Theresa Keilhauer, and brother in laws Dennis (Pat) Shute, Frank Olson and Mike Rybchuk, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Paul was born in Ruma, Yugoslavia on April 22, 1941 and immigrated to Canada in 1949. Growing up in Toronto with his mom and sister, Paul’s love of sports blossomed and he excelled in hockey, baseball and football. He met the love of his life, Jacquie, while working in a bubble gum factory and they eventually settled in Edmonton to raise their family. Paul spent many years as a corporate manager for Xerox Canada, Miller Office Group and Corporate Express. After his retirement, Paul enjoyed creating memories with his family, supporting his grandchildren and spending his days at his home away from home, the Windermere Golf Club. His love of golf was a life-long passion and he treasured the friendships he made over the years. Paul was a loving husband, dedicated father and proud grandfather, whose legacy will live on through his family for years to come.
There will a celebration of Paul’s life on Wednesday January 3, 2023 at 12:00 pm at Hainstock’s Funeral Home, 9810-34 Avenue. In addition, the service will be live streamed for those who wish to join online. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta.
