Peter will be lovingly remembered by his children; Noreen (Paul) Sveen, son Nelson, and grand puppy Ruby Tuesday Clementine, who will miss her Gido. Peter was born in Lamont, AB, on July 26th, 1939. He grew up in many places, Andrew, AB, Houston, BC and farmed in Pakan, AB, just to name a few. He took up plumbing and worked on the oil rigs. He then met his sweetheart Vicky and were married in June of 1965. They moved to Edmonton and raised a family. He worked at Silverwood Dairies and then took up Carpentry. Peter is also remembered by brother’s Max (Charlotte)Nichols, Bill (Eleanor) Nichols, Ed (Marilyn) Nichols and sister Irene (Bill) Dexter and numerous nieces and nephews. Peter is predeceased by his loving wife Vicky (Poopsie) 2011, his mother Helen and father Metro Nikolaychuk, brother’s John, Nick, and sister’s Lillian and Mary.
In our sorrow, we remember Peter not in his passing but how he lived! He loved woodworking, gardening, took pride in making his yard look beautiful, tinkering in the garage, fishing, camping, the casino, making handcrafted dulcimers, his love of animals and how they put a smile on his face, love of old cars, having coffee with his buddies, playing games on the computer, watching old western movies, LOVED spending time with his family and dancing with his wife Vicky as they truly were THE BEST dancers! He was a generous, strong, helpful, caring husband, father, brother and friend. He will be remembered by countless family and friends. Peter now walks through the valley on the other side with his sweetheart, Vicky. He no longer suffers and is not afraid, for Pete is the toughest farm boy in the valley! We will miss you and Love you always. FOREVER OUR HERO!
