It is with deep sadness the family of “Fiery” Philip Dutton announce his passing on December 24, 2022.
Phil is survived by his son, Shawn (Joleen); grandsons, Cole and Quin; Great-grandson, Baret; brothers, Jim (Anna and Dick (Joanie) and his sister Marg (Darryl). He is predeceased by his wife, Marlene and sons, Darren and David.
He had a great and memorable hockey career with the Oil Kings from 1959-1962 where he played in the Memorial Cup three times.
Phil had a passion for life and enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to Buck Lake and for Golf. He loved singing Karaoke for many years with two of his favorite songs being Sweet Caroline and God Didn’t Make The Little Green Apples by Burl Ives.
He started Trade in 1958 with the Alberta Government and worked at NAIT from 1965-1995.
A Service of Remembrance will take place at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Memories Funeral Home.
